Most women's health problems have a cause and a treatment, even the ones that have been brushed off before.
Dr Siveregi has spent twenty years in medicine, with specialist training through UCT and Groote Schuur, and a wide range of women's health concerns have come through his rooms. He works through them with you gently and at your pace, so that you leave understanding more than when you came in.
Some things settle in a single visit. Others take a little time and a few appointments to work through properly. Either way, you are not left to make sense of it on your own.
Being told that something is normal, when it does not feel normal to you, is exhausting. If you have been carrying a symptom around for a while because nobody has really looked at it yet, that is exactly the kind of thing to bring in.
He consults from Suite 3 at Crestcare Hospital on Piketberg Street, here in Malmesbury. Your scan is done while you are still in the room with him, so there is no second trip and no drive to Cape Town.
Usually within a day. If it cannot wait, say so when you request the appointment and reception will fit you in as soon as possible.
No. You can book directly with Dr Siveregi. Some medical aid plans pay better on a referral, so it is worth a quick check with your scheme, but you do not need one to be seen.
Yes. The practice is contracted with almost all schemes and bills them directly, so you are not left claiming it back yourself. Cash-paying patients are also welcome, and reception will confirm the consultation fee when you book so there are no surprises on the day.
Not necessarily. Many first consultations are mostly a conversation about your history and what has been happening. If an examination is recommended, it is explained first and done only with your consent, and you can ask to pause at any point.
No. Scanning is done in the consulting room during your appointment, so there is no second booking and no drive to the city.
Yes. You are welcome to bring your partner, your mother or a friend into the consultation, and you can ask for a chaperone during any examination.
Still not sure? Ask when you request an appointment and reception will talk it through with you.
